>This weekend we travelled down to Leicester for Stacy’s Dad’s 60th bday party. It was better than I expected….. usually these events are something to be tolerated rather than enjoyed.
Today we suggested to them that we go to the zoo! They agreed and we spent the day in the warm sun strolling around looking at the animals. Unfortunately by the end of the day I was in agony with my hips. Every step was so painful! Her Dad took a nice photo of us together though. I changed it into sepia as Stacy was wearing red and me pink and the clash is too painful on the eyes, lol.
Also bump pic for 31+3. It wasn’t the best pic but I liked the cat being in it!

>When Stacy got home from work this evening she suggested we make a cake for her dad who was 60 this week and he is having a party tomorrow night. I suggested we make him a Dr Who cake as he loves the show. This was probably too optimistic! We each made a darlek, Stacy’s was making me wet myself with laughter, it is just too cute! Then we decided to make blue icing and it got everywhere and became too runny and it really was a sad excuse for a cake! Here it is in all its glory.

Stacy is almost too ashamed to give it to him, but I think he will like it as it was obviously made with love.
I can see much hilarity in our future as we make bday cakes for Charlie!
Yesterday we went to some friends for tea. They served up a salad with those lettuce leaves which are so bitter. I never can understand why anyone would ever enjoy eating them. Anyway in amongst all the bitter lettuce leaves were a few iceburg ones. I was hunting around in the bowl and Stacy said….are you singing to the lettuce? Sure enough I was singing (totally without my knowledge)
‘You’re the one that I want, you are the one I want oooh oooh oooh!’
I’m still giggling about that today (easily amused)

>I love Sundays

>I worked a three day week this week which was absolute bliss! Thursday was spent pottering around the house. On Friday Stacy took the day off and we went for a trip to Nottingham with our friend Jenni (I will add pics once our friend sends them to me). We walked around the castle and a museum and had a nice lunch out together. I was totally exhausted after it though! I am finding work harder and harder. After I got home yesterday all I could do was sit and I had a nap on the sofa. Then I took a bath and made some jewellery with Stacy.
I still love our Sundays together. We went out for breakfast and did a bit of shopping (we bought her some lovely new clothes). When we got home I had a 2 hour wonderful nap as I had slept so badly in the night. I am SNORING! I am horrified about this and it is waking me up! Thankfully Stacy is not very aware of it.
We played board games in the afternoon and attempted to clear out my art room. Our days just plod along and I just love spending time with her no matter what we are doing.
Every now and then she says ‘I love you monkey’.
Here is the customary Sunday bump pic 30+3

>So Stacy and I decided as we are planning on moving soon to try and start getting rid of stuff we don’t need/use. We started in the bedroom and got rid of 4 bags of clothes and 1 bag of bric-a-brac. Then we moved into the spare room which has a big bed and underneath it lots of crates of ‘stuff’. They had things like pens and unwanted gifts, old jewellery, boxes from things we had bought and old school work as well as sentimental stuff like ticket stubs, photos and programmes. We were brutal and reduced 7 boxes and crates down to 2.
After we had made so much room in our wardrobe we moved all of Charlies little outfits into it and they looked so cute hanging up there 🙂
It is mothers day in the UK and when we eventually came down for breakfast there was a card addressed to ‘Mummy’ on the table. I opened it and it was from Charlie and I burst into tears. I hadn’t thought of getting one for Mammy, not that she minded. She can be so sweet sometimes.

>Centre Parks

>We got home today from our week away in Cumbria. It was totally exhausting but also wonderful 🙂 The weather was also really really nice and on one day was warm enough to walk about without even a jumper on. It was a fab opportunity to take some more bump pics and get a few together from passers by or by attempting to use the timer!
We spent every day in the sub tropical swimming paradise and I did feel a bit hard done by not being allowed on the flumes or rides *grumpy face* but spent lots of time in the spa pools, lazy river and outdoor heated pool.
We also did walking, shopping, eating out, cycling, adventure golf and lots of snuggling and napping in the afternoons *hehe*
Charlie enjoyed it too, sometimes wondering what on earth was going on (such as somersaults in the pool lol) We watched with envy at families with little ones playing with them and soaking up their joy at their excitment of whatever they were doing. We can’t wait till we have a Charlie boy on the outside of me to play with.
In other EXCITING news, Stacy got the job in Norwich! She beat 7 people to the job and also found out that it was the third time of advertising as they hadn’t found the ‘right’ person before! I am so proud of her and it means we can start planning our move and new life together.
We told J and he was fine with it. We have agreed to him coming to visit once every 3 months. That is 4 times a year and I can cope with that (just lol)
